Hello! My name is Laura Bianchini. I am a New Orleans artist. With a lot of family influence from my Aunt and my father who themselves are artist I learned of my appreciation for art at a very young age. I enjoy painting on glass and recently adapted the "millefiore” technique using polymer clay “millefiore” is Italian for "thousand flowers" and refers to the glass making technique used to create colored patterns in glass using long rods which are placed to form designs, then heated and stretched to make a "cane". This is my inspiration for my glass pieces. I also incorporated the “Luminarias”, which first appeared historically around the 16th century, as a Spanish tradition of lighting bonfires along the roads and churchyards to guide people to Midnight Mass on the final night of the celebration of Las Posadas. I use polymer to create the same effect. I hope you enjoy lighting up your home, office, church, etc. with Redpop glass it will bring color and tranquility into any one of your surroundings! God Bless!
